Disclaimer
The plain-language version of what this site is, what it is not, and what you should do before hiring anyone.
Informational Purposes Only
HireContractorFinder is a contractor directory and information resource. Everything on this site — business listings, guides, cost estimates, calculators, FAQs, and ratings — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or contracting advice.
No Endorsement or Guarantee
A business appearing on HireContractorFinder is not an endorsement, recommendation, or referral by us. We do not guarantee the quality of any contractor's work, their licensing status, their insurance coverage, their availability, or their prices. A high rating on this site does not mean a contractor will do good work for you. Do your own due diligence before hiring anyone — this site is a starting point for research, not a stamp of approval.
Verify Licensing, Insurance, and Credentials Yourself
Business information can change. We do not independently verify every listing's licensing status, insurance coverage, or credentials on an ongoing basis. Before hiring any contractor, independently verify their license with your state or local licensing authority, ask for proof of insurance, and check references. Most states and many municipalities maintain public license lookup tools — use them. This step is on you, and it matters.
Ratings and Reviews
Ratings and review counts shown on this site are sourced from third-party platforms (primarily Google) and are displayed with their source and the date they were last checked. They are not collected, verified, or endorsed by HireContractorFinder. Ratings and review counts change over time and can differ between platforms. We do not fabricate, buy, or manipulate reviews or ratings.
Cost Estimates and Guides
Project cost estimates, calculator results, and pricing information in our guides are educational approximations based on national average data and industry sources. They are not quotes. Actual prices vary by market, project scope, materials, labor rates, and contractor. Always get multiple written quotes for your specific project before making decisions.
We Are Not a Party to Your Transaction
HireContractorFinder is not a contractor, broker, or agent. We are not a party to any agreement, transaction, or dispute between you and any contractor you find through this site. We do not control, supervise, or take responsibility for the work contractors perform, their scheduling, their billing, or their business practices.
Professional Advice
Always consult a licensed contractor for structural, electrical, plumbing, or gas work — and a licensed professional of the relevant trade for any project with safety, code, or permit implications. Information on this site does not replace professional advice tailored to your property and project.

We link to external websites (contractor sites, government resources, third-party platforms) for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites, and linking to them does not imply endorsement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HireContractorFinder is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from your use of this site, your reliance on any listing, guide, rating, or estimate found here, or your dealings with any contractor listed here. You use this site and hire contractors at your own risk.
